If a team is active, you always start with a trade first, unless you have reason to go right to bidding. Like, for instance now we all have a reason to bid on you instead of asking for trades first.

Bravura: no there's nothing wrong with bidding, unless you do it the wrong way. You generally don't bid on the most active guys who did nothing to deserve it, unless you have a good reason other than wanting their players
